Filmage

The Notebook: can we say, "heart-rending"? "gut-wrenching"? "put through the emotional wringer"???

I would like to point out that I did not sob like a girl all the way through the film.

I would also like to stress that I did not weep and wail and gnash my teeth all the way home.

I feel I should also mention that, once at home, I did not at any stage stuff a kitten up each nostril in an vain attempt to stem the tide of nasal effluent.

I also did not sob like a girl at any and all points when I wasn't plotting the murder of the fucking non-stop-talking inconsiderate bitch a few seats left of us.
